3. Lawful Bases
Depending on the activity, personal information may be processed because it is necessary to provide the service requested by the player, because Pebbleship has legitimate interests in operating and securing the game, or because processing is necessary to meet a legal obligation.
Legitimate interests include maintaining game integrity, preventing fraud and abuse, securing accounts and systems, moderating user-to-user communication and diagnosing technical problems.
4. Chat and Moderation
Chat messages may be stored so recent room conversation remains available when players re-enter a room.
Pebbleship currently retains a maximum of 500 recent messages per room through the game application and displays the most recent messages when a player joins.
Automated language filtering may censor selected terms. Repeated or severe filtered messages may generate moderation records for review.

Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is held, including account operation, security, moderation, dispute handling and legal requirements.
Different types of information may therefore have different retention periods.

Pebbleship uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect accounts and service data, including access controls, encrypted web connections, server security measures, anti-bot protection and request-security protections.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
